    Dresden did have a huge military significance. (19:42). The Soviet army was approaching Berlin and Dresden was the last major city between Berlin and the Soviets. This is where Germans would make a stand and try to stop the Soviets so Stalin asked the allies to demolish Dresden, which they did. That was huge help for the Soviet army.

    Nice video enriched with stories of soldiers who actually fought in Italy. Heroes, I would say; all of them. I find it negative all the blurred icons that take away the tragic and in some cases inhuman, aspects of war. Maybe you could restore the video to its original depiction of reality at the front.

    This series gives one a very wrong impression of the T34. More like a Soviet propaganda piece sadly. Too bad the production looked pretty good 😔

  • @brealistic3542
    @brealistic3542 13 годин тому

    The Germans were amazed at its armor in the beginning because the germans were using much inferior cannon at the time. The 35mm and short 50mm with their Panzer 3. The t34 could reliably bounce these rounds from the front. only later was the long 50 mm fitted. It was just a stop gap considering the Russians also had the much more heavily armored kv1.

  • @brealistic3542
    @brealistic3542 13 годин тому

    There is another myth about the t34 that it was mechanical excellent. That was far from the truth. The Americans tested one and actually found it to be what one would expect from Soviet industries. In other words pretty much awful. Only much later t34s were a bit better. Their reliability was awful. The T34s in museums are from this period and later. They give a false sense of what the t34 actually was in ww2. They are not the same tank. They won primarily by numbers produced. The Germans couldn't match this.

  • @brealistic3542
    @brealistic3542 13 годин тому

    The Germans never attempted to clone the T34. That is a myth. They discussed it very briefly but the T34 engine was aluminium and a diesel and just not practical to copy for German industries. They also at the same realised that the Soviets wouldn't be standing still in their tank development and a much better medium tank was required to combat the t34 and the Soviets much better versions that were sure to show up which of course they did in the t34/85.

    Idk what to think about this guy there’s something about when an animals loves a person it’s a simple but yet genuine love you being at a much higher level of understanding still need to accept that love so either this man was really evil and is love my animals or he was the most misunderstood individual trying to get things done that was explain by everyone expect him and Ik my comparison sucks but love for animals is for the soul.
